join us each month as we delve into the wonderful work of an artist. exposure to artists work is great for boosting children's own creativity and sparking their curiosity and imagination. it broadens their horizons of the world and culture, showing them how opinions and emotions can be communicated in a variety of ways. we invite you and your little ones to be immersed, through sensory play and process art, into the world of a different artist each month!
 
this month, we will explore the captivating and innovative sculptures of alexander calder. we will celebrate calder’s unique kinetic works and bold paintings through invitations to create art, sensory play, loose parts play, and collaborative process art, exploring how he made modern art move! children will have the opportunity to work on mobiles, experimenting with movement and balance as we explore how calder’s use of colour and form inspires us to create dynamic, kinetic artworks that interact with the wind and environment around us.
